During four intensive meeting days, the representatives of the wood and forest sector from 16 European countries including Ukraine, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany discussed strategic issues at the world fair of Wood and Forest Industry.
At the LIGNA HANNOVER, world fair for wood and forest industries, the IN2WOOD network brought together leading scientists in the fields of wood technology, timber construction, forestry and cluster management with forest owner associations, regional forest administrations & cluster management units, and enterprises – joining regionally anchored European Wood and Forest Clusters. After the opening conference, main topics of joint interest where specified by focused exchange during the Cooperation Workshop at the second day.
The IN2WOOD Conference and Cooperation Workshop will give strong impulses to European cooperation in the wood and forest-based sector and will help to meet the growing demand for forest services and wood products of the sustainable society in times of climate change.
